Free calculators for a financial coaching practice

Two working calculators for the numbers most coaches guess at, the real hourly yield of an engagement and the number of monthly check ins a week can hold.

Financial coaches spend their days on other people arithmetic and almost never run their own. The result is a practice priced on a session rate that felt fair once, with unpaid prep, plan updates and follow up notes quietly absorbing the margin. These two calculators put those hours back into the math.

Both open with realistic defaults for a solo US practice, so you can see a sensible result before you change anything. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere. Change the fee, the check in cadence or the minutes of prep and watch which lever actually moves the number you care about.

Open to any coaching practice, no sign up

Neither calculator asks for an email address before it will run the numbers on a coaching engagement. A financial coach who spends her week building baselines out of other people pay stubs and decree obligations should not have to trade contact details to find out what her own hour returns. Both run in the browser on this page, the figures never leave your screen, and nothing is stored when you close the tab.

They are worth running even if you never open the software. This arithmetic currently gets done in the margin of a session note or not at all: a monthly fee multiplied out over a six month engagement, then divided by the session hours plus the prep, the plan update and the message that lands on day nine when a bill scares her. Then the other one, the whole check in counted honestly at forty five minutes around the call, divided into the coaching hours left in a year after six weeks off. Those two numbers between them tell you whether to raise the fee, cut the unbilled hour, or stop enrolling at twelve clients.

When the effective rate is lower than the fee suggests

A thin margin and an hourly figure that surprised you are usually the same problem wearing two faces, and that problem is the unbilled hour per client per month. A demo shows a check in where the mapped and actual figures get updated while she is still on the call, so there is nothing waiting on Friday. Bring the inputs you just used and we will work from your practice, not a sample roster.
